Amidst all the many things we are currently elbow deep in, we have decided to start a regular video podcast (or vodcast as the youngins are calling it these days)
We are calling out to all our fans to please post us questions and requests to be answered in said vodcast.
It can be anything. “What’s your favorite Trek episode?” “Have any of you ever been to Japan?” “What does Andy smell like?” “Would Noah and Chris act out the fight scene from Amok Time?” “I want to hear Patrick sing/play Devil In The Dark on acoustic” etc etc…
Please feel free to ask anything of us!

Captain’s Log: Star Trek Music Review – FIVE YEAR MISSION
It isn’t every day you think to yourself “There should definitely be more music based on Star Trek.” And it isn’t every two days after that that a friend says “Hey look, here’s a band that’s doing a song for every episode of The Original Series.” And it isn’t every three months later you still haven’t listened to anything else since you downloaded said band’s albums. You with me? This may be less of a “review” than a gushy recommendation or whole hearted endorsement.
Five Year Mission is five guys that thought The Original Series “rocks so hard” that every episode deserves it’s own tribute song. I tend to agree, but as a full blown music snob, I must admit I was skeptical. Or, at least I figured it would just be the kind of thing you hear once and enjoy a laugh because you get the Trek references. Then you move along, scurrying on back to your obscure post-punk bands no one’s ever heard of. But I soon figured out these guys are much more than just a couple of geeks with a Casio and a Macbook.
The first 5YM song I heard was “The Naked Time” from their first album, Year One. I dare say it’s more than just a cute song about Mister Spock losing his Vulcan cool, but a brilliant pop song, and perhaps… TO READ THE REST, GO TO: Everything Is Star Trek And Nothing Hurts.

Five Year Mission: The Man Trap
I’ve recently discovered Five Year Mission. Not the five year mission that I’m on, but something that was called a “tribute band” back in the 21st century. This band somehow got hold of our adventures aboard the Enterprise and has decided to make a song of each “episode”. How clever! I don’t exactly know why they are called a “tribute band” but I hope it has to do with lavishing gifts on those you sing of (or technically for me, on those close to those you sing of). They are, of course, all clean cut young men with Starfleet regulation hair (Yes, yes, I know, those are very wide standards).
